Through individual tutoring and group classes, families have access to homework help, English language instruction, and preparation for obtaining a GED.

The library has summer reading programs and has launched 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten to encourage parents to read 1,000 books to their children before they go to kindergarten.

Story Express Kits are available for checkout. They are a self-contained library story time in a take-home format. The MCLS Story Express Kits are developed to improve early literacy success through reading, story-telling, music, and family fun!
